My goal is to capture the inner spirit of a subject so that feelings and emotions are aroused by the viewer. My work is generally of diverse human figures portrayed in a myriad of surroundings; as well as in a portrait-type setting. The body of work I have developed has been described as Representational Realism.
After a long and successful career in the printing and graphic arts industry, I seriously began to pursue my interest in oil painting. Throughout my life I was always sketching, and drawing. In 2000 I enrolled in fine art classes at Fullerton College and attended workshops so I could become skilled in painting with oils. It was then I began to grow as an artist.
